Wellesely Camp Settles Diabetes Lawsuit Over Ousted Kid
Owners of a day camp were sued by a Wellesely family after their 6 year old daughter was denied admission only because she had diabetes.
Thompsons had signed up with the Boston Sports Club Summer Camp months before and had made their daughter’s condition clear to the authorities.
After few days of attendance the camp found 6 year old’s disability a distraction and could not handle the special service and the child was rejected.
